Personal

I am Christian Schreinemachers, a vegan human being who has spent most of his life in North Rhine-Westphalia (Germany).

I have a deep interest in technology and I have been using GNU/Linux since the early 2000s. I feel reasonably confident scripting bash, and I am able to produce some chunks of LaTeX and Python code. The majority of it is listed on my Codeberg profile.

As well as open-source software, I am passionate about science. I love listening to music and going to concerts, but I listen to podcasts much more often. I also like playing with bricks or board games, and enjoy movies, literature, and much more.

Professional

I work as scientist at the Forschungszentrum Jülich GmbH 🇩🇪 in the Nuclear Waste Management department of the Institute of Fusion Energy and Nuclear Waste Management. I hold a PhD in chemistry, which I did in the SOLVOMET Group of KU Leuven 🇧🇪 and at the Belgian Nuclear Research Centre SCK CEN.

Follow me

I write quite regularly on Mastodon about developments and technology topics in general. I have accounts on two instances:
